Re: Nissan SD22 engine issues
I have to confess, my Nissan is gone now, replaced with a Beta50 (Kubota V2203). Today I have been working on converting all the space I saved with the new engine into storage compartments. |

Re: Nissan SD22 engine issues
That was a very good price on the injector rebuild. I am jealous. As for the oil filter, I use the Ryco Z149 or a compatible model from our local car parts place, a chain called Repco. It looks... |

Probably not, but when coupled with the age of the engine it’s worth standing back and taking a pragmatic view. |

A full rebuild of the injection pump and injectors will probably set you back more than the engine is actually worth. Don’t ask me how I know this. |

Re: Nissan SD22 engine issues
For the OP. Compass790 is right on the money with parts being a problem. My ED33 is in excellent condition however I will no longer spend anything but the bare essentials on it as I know, from a... |

Re: Nissan SD22 engine issues
P.S. That's a much nicer exhaust manifold than my setup. Mine looks pretty darn crude in comparison. |

Re: Nissan SD22 engine issues
OK, looking a little more at that second photo on something bigger than my phone, I think I can see how it is setup. Looks like the fresh water circuit is complete, hose from the top of the... |

Re: Nissan SD22 engine issues
Interesting. The US “sailboat” variant seems similar in setup to the “outback Aussie” approach. Yes, the exhaust riser on mine blocks off the end of my exhaust manifold jacket too. (This may be... |

Re: Nissan SD22 engine issues
Jim, I have the Nissan ED33, similar to the SD22, just a bit bigger and a hell of a lot noisier. The original Diecon conversion of the ED33 engines (and if you are in Australia you probably have a... |
