Ummm, not sure the size except to say “waaaay too big”. Seriously oversized for the job. They are the winches for the yankee on a conservatively rigged 42 footer so that’s not a lot of strain....

Thank you for the numbers. I was going to go a bit thicker than 18 but I suspect you are correct.

I’ve got the old backing plates from below the deck. I can recycle those if I am careful.
