I doubt it is in my engine. It is small and the port side is crowded with starter, alternator, cooling hoses and cables.
I may look later.

Thank you. Some commenters advised to add more oil instead. As I mentioned before there is pin hole at the top of the tube, but it is blocked by the dipstick's collar. Not sure if it is design flaw...

Yes, I tried to remove fill cap to mo avail.
Thanks for the offer, I'll stick to my problem. Besides, on my other boat I have 40 years old Farymann single cylinder 6 HP and it is still smoking...

Yes it does say that. Does not help my problem. Why on the first attempt dipstick is dry?

No, I have done opposite. On the cold engine I sucked some oil out and it went down to the full level mark.
It was my first oil change for this engine at 210 hours( when I got th boat). I can't...

"Wow to me it looks like you have the bare minimum in there.
From your photos the oil on your dipstick does not go all over it, thats just the stuff that you have got smeared on it pulling the...

In fact, I did the engine compartment surface was oily. We were on the anchor and I did not have the pump. So I got silicon tube that fits tight to the dipstck tube and sucked out some of oil.

Thank you, I'll do that. Dipstick on my engine fits snug too. I did notice there is small hole on the top of the tube, wonder if it suppose to eliminate the vacuum.

The tag on the dip stick reads check oil level 10 minutes after engine stop.
10 minutes or sometime 20 minutes later I pull out the dip stick and it's dry.
I put it back pull out again and oil...
