No pic attached.
So if it is a chain plate, is the crack that you are noticing in the sealant of the hull deck joint or in the fiberglass itself.

You will need to do a closer inspection to see...

Where was this plate located in the boat? Is it associated w/the standing rigging?

Hard to tell from the pic but it looks like someone added expanding foam for the coax wire drill through and it...
