In all cases, I would remove the sinks, faucets, lids, etc. For all but pouring I'd also remove the fiddles. Recessed lids can be their own kind of hassle.

We redid the countertops in our 1985 Catalina 30 with laminate. Removed the fiddles, sanded the old tops and used spray adhesive to adhere the new. Used a laminate cutter on a hand router to cut to...
