Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea are not erupting. The variations are on the order of 10 PPM, not 100 PPM. The top of a mountain in the middle of the Pacific is a pretty good place to collect air samples free...

I dunno Cpt, I think you and I, if we ever find ourselves in such a spot, won't see our ol' CCA boats stay upside down too long.

Hence my thought that unless your boat is expecting to spend considerable time upside down, my own preference would be to keep the dorades open.

Hey, for a second I thought someone had stolen my idea!:biggrin: They may be ok, but they won't seal up when inverted, in fact the opposite.
