In my 29 footer, I would never elect to lie ahull in steep breaking seas. Given a hypothetical "30 knots and steep 6' seas" I would prefer to keep steerage, running or more likely broad reaching,... |

Every sailing father's nightmare. My heart goes out to the family. The Seafarer has a fairly good rep but it is a bit on the lighter side. I love my little 29 but I know well that a lot can go south... |
