I'm not a fan of cored hulls either, but if the survey clears it it's probably ok. It 's the engine I'd scrutinize. Has it been rebuilt? How many hours on it? Maintained well?

I too shy away from those engines, though there's a million of them out there and they seem to run well for a long time if well-cared for. My own personal tastes for cruising are to have no keel...
