I brought up golf carts, because there are tens of thousands of electric golf carts produced yearly, They are not a small manufacturing concern at all, and their use of a battery bank closely mimics...

Just out of curiosity, why do you think 36V and I think 48V Golf carts use 6V batteries?

Plus you usually have two banks, if you have two banks then to really get down to 10 V house bank, you would have to...

Loosing a battery before the whole bank is essentially toast is not very common, but can happen. I believe if a battery is "bad" they die an infant mortality kind of death, like in the first 30 days,...

Have to realize that if you buy one big 12 V battery, what it is is 6 2V cells that the manufacturer has wired into series for you and conveniently put them in one box.
By purchasing 6 2V cells...
