My RV head dumps straight into the tank, no hose, plus the tank is "outside" under the floor and it's shaped so that every drop will drain out if your RV is level.
Boat of course is very different....

Exactly what I do, then we rinse the pump out hose clean by having it suck all the water out of a 5 gl bucket too. My marina pumps directly into the City sewer, so they don't care realistically how...
