In my view... This is the way menus was used before mouse-time. The old trick is to press Alt and navigate to a menu header by the underscored letter and/or use the arrow keys to navigate...

My Win PCs can be very slow if the chart buffer is upon building for first time in background. I tip may be to force the cache build, see:

Well, well.... One only has to use our excellent wik!, thanks for the nice work to this!

Installing xcalib was the solution. Now F6 is fully working also in Ubuntu.

In Linux Ubuntu 12.04 the F6 key is recognized so that the black square box counting from "MIN - 1 -2 -...... -9 - MAX" is working but there is no effect on the screen. Could there be any not...

With the last commit this is now OK also on W7. No message and the directory was created

Thanks, I do agree. And, still, for the RT90 the supposed GPS failure is not that critical since these charts are only big scale overviews where the "Owerzoom" and blurs are obvious in case...
