Well, Yanmar's like a higher rpm for some reason.

I do agree with you about that, but occasionally I find it necessary, and was wondering how fast it ramps up compared to a newer balmar XT for example.

Offpist, thanks. Useful info. How do they do at lower RPM, say 1000 - 1200 rpm? or even 1500? What output roughly, and do they overheat more?
