We've had two. Although it was a long time ago (1996-97), we bought a Catalina 27 with tall rig in San Diego. We then did what most people said was insane... we did the 'Baha Haha' with it!!! Over...

Throttle Control Problems;-(

We have a dual position control system for the Perkins motor on my motorsailor. Inside control has no problem, but the outside one (or cables?) is playing up...

It appears to be an Ultraflex B85...

Thanks, it was the latter I planned to do. I won't leave a mechanical gauge in place as, like you said, just another place to leak from;-)

My engine gauge panel (original Perkins) only has an oil pressure gauge. There's no low pressure warning light OR audiable alarm. YET, looking at the pic,...

Yes that is indeed the wee baby in question. The mechanic in question, is without doubt a very highly qualified 'gentleman'. I suspect he simply didn't want to work on such an old and delapidated...

Yet Another 4.108 Oil Pressure Problem - Help?

I'm hoping this is just a gauge or sender issue, BUT...
On startup, pressure gauge needle leaps across and LOCKS on the max stop. As engine warms, it eventually drops, but will show high if revved....

My Hurth gearbox HBW20 has developed a significant oil leak:( It APPEARS to be exiting through the gear change shaft seal on the side. One mechanic stated this required removal and a COMPLETE strip...
