Update, problem solved. It was the port deck absorbing water like a sponge during all the rain we were having. Rainy season left and we opened her up, 5' on port deck. Replaced core and closed it...

Our Watkins 36 CC has a Famet furler that needs a new drum. The company no longer exist and parts seem impossible to find.
