I have a question concerning Buzzards Bay, MA, specifically Hadley's Harbor, Naushon Is. in the Elizabeth Islands. Does the "Boat Name & Initial Carving Tree" still exist on Bull Island?

Re: Buying a Bristol 24, 1971

Hello KyleYankan,
Thank you for your thoughtful response. I found the same problems. Soft spots resulting from large holes drilled into the deck. Hopelessly damaged sea-cocks and handrails! Very...

Thought I'd read all of RLS's poetry. Where did you find that little gem? I, too, copied your post to slip into one of his books. Thank you for sending.

Re: New Bedford to Newport or other July 4th Suggestions

Hi Southcoasting;
My route to Newport is: Fairhaven to Cuttyhunk then an early start to Newport, RI. If too busy, I anchor across the bay in Jamestown. Enjoy your cruise.

Re: Bees in mast

Spraying soy sauce in and about the entrance/exit will keep bees and wasps away, removing the wax, aside from recirculating hot water is an engineering nightmare!

Re: First Sailing / Sea Book You Ever Read ?

I forget my first sailing book as well. A very fine cruising book named "The Boy, Me And the Cat," by Henry M. Plummer tells of their cruise down and back along the ICW in 1912-1913 long before it...
