The Guard is 9.5 inches wide, mesuring from the center of the tubes. That being said I would like to sell the whole thing as a kit. But feel free to PM me an offer for just the guard. You may change...

I have no first hand experience sailing either, but its on a yawl the mizzen mast is behind the rudder post, on a Ketch it is in front of the rudder post.

I didn't have a chance to give you all an update, I got the engine going. It was shockingly not very hard. Now she runs as good as she ever did. Thanks for all the help.
