Lead acid batteries and for that matter any battery needs to b on a trickle charger if left for any time in a no use situation. Much better if u can take them out and put them in a heated...

I CROSSED FROM BIMINI TO FORT LAUDERDALE IN EARLY DECEMBER. WIND WAS SOUTHERLY FOR 2 DAYS PRIOR. SEA WAS ALMOST FLAT AND HAD TO MOTOR MOST OF THE WAY.
