Re: Is the radar an obsolete equipment?
If you're going to correct the spelling in other peoples quotes, make sure it's correct in your own. |

Re: Is the radar an obsolete equipment?
Radar is far from obsolete and far from necessary. Radar is one of those things that once you have really used it you will always want to have it. |

Re: B & G Zeus 3 Won't Turn On
Definitely electrical. Check all of your fuses and breakers. You may want to cycle breakers off and then back on. The "sub-screens" are likely powered by the NMEA2000 network which may or may not be... |

Re: Raymarine Autopilot Wireless Remote
I have been as clear as I can. Maybe someone else can explain it to you better but as far as I can tell you don't understand what I have said over and over again. I'm trying to help you. If that... |

Re: Raymarine Autopilot Wireless Remote
The parts I suggested will plug into the back of the 4000+ and you will be able to control the 4000+ with the p70s. But your 4000+ is failing and you will soon need a course computer. The best... |

Re: Water tank access ports still leaking
Silicone imbeds itself in the surface it is applied to. No other sealant I am aware of will stick to silicone worth a damn. You have to get ALL of the silicone off before you will get a good seal.... |

Yanmar to Volvo Conversion Catalina 30
Ladies and Gentlemen, A friend of mine has a Catalina 30 with a Yanmar 2GM20. His diesel is pretty much dead and requires a rebuild. He had just listed the boat for sale when the engine gave up.... |

Re: Raymarine Autopilot Wireless Remote
Rob, There are four parts to every autopilot. 1. Course Computer - Main electronics 2. Control Head - Screen and buttons 3. Drive - Mechanical part that turns rudder 4. Compass - Finds... |

Re: High power autopilot relays
PWM indeed. Relays will not work you would need SCR or IGBT and the hardware associated with driving them. Good luck with that. Save yourself the stress and buy a proper course computer. |

Re: Raymarine Autopilot Wireless Remote
Rob, The remote would work for at least a few minutes. There is one circuit board inside the 4000+. If the buttons are failing, the rest of the circuit board is on it's way out. That being... |

Re: Can I wire a broken Standard Horizon MD50 Multidata to a Raymarine ST60 Tri-data
Yes there is nothing special about either of them. Simply cut off the plugs on the transducer cables, crimp on some 1/8" spade connectors, and plug them in. Odds are good that the wire colors on... |

Re: Raymarine Autopilot Wireless Remote
Correct indeed! I have had many customers who purchased one controller for their autopilot and put it at the nav station and then rely on a wireless remote in the cockpit. They come to me saying... |

Re: Raymarine Autopilot Wireless Remote
A wireless remote should NOT be your primary means of controlling the autopilot. It should ABSOLUTELY NOT be your only means of controlling the autopilot. |

Re: how connect two bilge pumps to ione thru hull
Let me spell it out for you. The boat is sinking. This fact causes the water level to rise in the sea chest. The water has no place to go once it fills up the sea chest so it goes into the bilge... |

Re: B&G Zeus touch / Autohelm
KeelMe is correct. Multiplexers are incredibly simple. I do agree that if the AIS has NMEA2000 it should use it instead of NMEA0183. |

Re: B&G Zeus touch / Autohelm
Do not "piggyback"; you need a multiplexer. Download the manuals. The answers you need are in there. |
