Yesterday, there were at least 8 Sailboats South of Freeport Grand Bahama, making there way West towards Florida.
Several were doing the buddy system and were in contact via VHF.

No. Not as yet.
The existing 24/7 curfew goes on till May 4th.
They will likely extend. They may start lessening the restrictions, but the borders will likely be closed for awhile.

She is a Female in Freeport. She has respiratory problems but as yet is not hospitalized.

IMO the con rod bolt failed--just did. No specific reason, just chance.
On one of my two 4LHA 240HP, I had the exact same failure at 550 Hrs on the engine. No "events"--just chance.

We have 6.5 to 6' 9" depending on water & Fuel on a fin keel. Have been sailing in the Bahamas for +20 yrs. Yes we run aground, but we do it gently and the fin helps...
