Final Update:

Motor needed new brushes. It is repaired, installed again, and everything is working properly.

It's a 2 speed in same direction. That was confusing when I said which direction to turn...should have said which SPEED to turn.

What's confusing to me, is the working winch has power at the motor...

Voltage from battery to relay, and there's voltage from relay to motor on both posts at the motor (same as the working motor/winch) when pressing the control buttons.

We have a set of the Bluetooth SENA headsets and use them all the time. We're a monohull, I can't hear anything forward of the cockpit very well. Hand signals can work for some, but they don't work...

So, an Ullman Sail loft suggested using heat shrink tubing. I may give that a go, adding some tubing large enough to my next parts order. The dimple suggestion is interesting, I'll look at that....

I ended up running the radar CAT5 cable all the way to the Zeus MFD. But per the post by "toolbar" it does appear to work.

The line runs down alongside the engine compartment where any water would therefore (and does) drain into a contained bilge area.
As another post said, it makes sense it is an end cap and the line...
