I find that centrfugal bilge pumps tend to airlock when fitted with a check valve, especially if you go from a dry bilge to flooded. So I drill a tiny hole in the outlet above the centrfuge height....

Might be an idea to watch out for down flooding risks, IE bilge pump overboards, toilets and sinks etc. Possibly rudder seal as well.

Running out of fuel until the engine stops will mean that you will have to bleed off the injector pipes. It wont be as simple as just running the electric fuel pump as that is only going to bleed off...

Ive got one, Vertical control is extremely poor. This because the barometer is inside the waterproof hull. It has a sticky plaster thing on the battery cover that is supposed to let air in and out...

Think its a book louse, had them for for 2 or 3 years, tryed all sorts to get rid of them. Eventually put a bug bomb under the the floors (my boats got a liner) in the keel hollow and set it off....

How about a junior hacksaw blade between the head and manifold, try to keep the blade in the gasket as you cut. Then punch the stud out when you get it on the workbench

I put Micron extra 2 on at christmas, wasnt cheap, paid the extra as I thought it would be good, but got a lot of barnacles and growth now, will be going with Carboline next time

Hi, Ive got one of those engines and it wont start even in warm ambient temps without 15 secs of glow plugs so they need to be good.
Double check you've got clear fuel bleeding out the fuel...

Had a similiar problem. Bulkhead was teak faced ply. The teak didnt rot. Attacked with a chiesel then angle grinder until I had good wood on the bulkhead but left the last slither of teak on one side...

Could be that you are running white metal bearings and that is the exterior stern tube seal. If so you should have an internal oil tank. Manebar make seals for that type of set up.

Ryobi LED, got 2 settings runs for 4 hours on low and 2 hours on high... super bright, rest of my tools are Ryobi including a pump I use for my dinghy.

Had the same problem on my 5424, was the connection of the cable going to the first glow plug, cleaned up the connection and off she went. Use 15 to 20 secs glow and 1/4 throttle

Turn over the engine and check the impellor shaft is turning. If you removed the pump from the outer set of bolts which requires re-alignment when refitting you may have snapped either the drive ears...
