Well, SW36 is not super fast compared to more recent designs but I think it sails rather well. I use hydraulic autopilot almost all the time when sailing and I find it easy to balance the sails.

Those enscope usb cameras are quite cheap nowadays. And very handy in these kind of situations. You can connect that to your smartphone, download a app and really see what is going on in there.

Maybe a stupid question but is there any ice during the winter? There marinas are probably on more sheltered spots on the fjords so are they ice free for all winter?

Did some research of Ammeter and shunts in general. Most of the time the shunt has only two wire terminals towards the ends of the shunt. And this is logical since the meters are actually measuring...
