not an absolute, it can go either way sometime valve clearance will increase other times it can decrease. some design are more likely to go one way or the other. but not always

some of that might be accurate for a computer controlle gas engine but totally irrelevant for the diesel engine. yes adding more air even without more fuel will make the engine more efficient, ie...

gotta disagree there. I cant count the number of engines I have done or recomended valve adjustment due to loose ( and clacking ) valves.

valve adjustment with a solid lifter is definitely...

so in your example for reduced production a normally $2 part will cost $10 so then why does a $300 water pump not make sense. not many $60 waterpumps to be found for new cars. also you are looking at...
