Glomex VHF antenna's have sometimes bad performance after a few years caused by internal corrosion in the base. Electrically they are ok.

Agree, i use Airmail many years. Does what is supposed to do in an efficient way, both for Sailmail and Ham qnd irridium. But I have little experience with RMS. Never change a winning horse.

Regular VHF antenna's are tuned tot the middle of the band. AIS frequencies are with 162 MHz at the edge of the band.
Some AIS transponders do not like high SWR values (> 2,0) This can occur...

There is nothing wrong with this anchor. Rockna is supposed to be in the top league. The trick is in the correct procedure in setting and than preloading the anchor with some strong reversing....

If you can get the unit of the mast, then try removing the vane. It’s a very tiny hex screw and a 3mm shaft. Pull off the vane off and rotate it 90 deg.
