BMW D50-2 for free

We are pulling our motor from a Krogen 38 and going electric. Motor has about 400 hrs since overhaul in 2010 but needs new rings and Pistons at very least. Parts are incredibly hard to find for...

Re: Inland lake sailors

It's on the option list but it's an eight hour drive each way, really more than anyone wants in a weekend. One hour on SW airlines with a two week advance purchase. Since we don't usually know the...

Re: Inland lake sailors

We have considered the trailer sailor and even if we did get one that small it will stay in the marina in a slip. We owned a catamaran on a trailer for several years and the evolution of getting it...

Re: Inland lake sailors

Inland lake sailors

We have found a sailboat we really like, for what we think is a pretty nice price and we have a slip for her on a reservoir lake near our home in Arizona. The problem is she is on another inland...

Re: Paperwork for Parrots

Well, I would say I'm pretty much in complete agreement with Tori on everything - I really didn't want the thread to digress on the subject of husbandry or behavior but rather doing proper service to...

Re: Paperwork for Parrots

Well, that would be a "vanity clip" and it is not recommended by avian veterinarians in modern practice for a number of reasons but I won't get into it because it is beyond the scope of this forum. ...

Re: Paperwork for Parrots

Well, conures are not trimmed, which is good actually. They fly three orbits and land back on the boat. They fly even when trimmed so we don't bother. Cockatoo is trimmed and she's the dodo bird I...

Re: Paperwork for Parrots

GaryMayo: You're right about the catfish - our lake has small-child-eating-size catfish, and they DO feed off the top. Initially sailing around our mountain lake I worry about the raptors as well....

Re: Paperwork for Parrots

Ditto what Belizesailor said. There are enough pet parrots right here in the US of A who cannot seem to stay in a good loving home without nitwits bringing them illegally from the wild. (or even...
