Hi Scott, Just logged in after a while. I'd be happy to trade ideas/tips. My email is john "at" sailingwithsoul.com. If you want to text of chat just email me you cell. The Pearson 300 is a good ship. I sail on the South-shore of Long Island/Short Atlantic Ocean & New York Harbor. Mine was also a restoration (she sank under the previous owner). I'm not sure where you sail or if you sail her yet, but I can give you a few pointers. Basically, she does like to roll, but she comes right back to center. If you take wakes/waves at an angle, you'll barely notice them. Mine sails at a nice 10deg heel. I drained my water tanks (2) to overcome the loss of sail area compared to the Pearson Vanguard. I just keep some sail up (partially rolled jib) in turbulent areas her steady when moored. Check out sailingwithsoul.com

    Cheers!

    Johnny
