I am writing to inquire about your future Antarctic cruise and crew needs. If you have not already chosen your crew, please consider me for a position.

Here is a little bit about my experience: I have one long cruise under my belt (NYC--Newf--Scotland). The captain (84) needed a second pair of younger hands and eyes for every situation. I played a key role in managing the sails, hoisting, trimming, and configuring them, i.e. reefing, poling out the staysail, etc. I learned to use paper charts, electronic plotters. We were on shifts day and night. During coastal sailing we used an electronic nav system, but on the open sea we used an aires windvane, so I became familiar with both systems. I learned how to dock and anchor a full keeled Westsail 42 in diverse conditions.

Good cook, well tempered, cheerful in all conditions.
