I live in the high Sierra area of western Nevada, retired and don't travel much anymore due to health problems but don't mind giving advice to Mariners who don't have the background in boating and the marine environment that I do. I don't hold myself out to be an expert but had my own delivery business on the west coast for about 20 years, lived aboard for a total of over 15 years and went to sea commercial fishing, towing logbooms and barges from when I turned 15 for close to 25 years. I held a Mates ticket in Canada before immigrating to the US and held a 100 ton masters certification for over 20 years I the US. Suffice to say, been around boats for over 65 years so do have some practical experience. Hope that helps you evaluate my advice.
