My wife & I have owned power boats for over 35 years. We sold the power boat & bought a large catamaran. We live aboard it in the winter & it stays in the water 12 months a year. We want to do coastal cruising all around Florida & a 21' beam is to big. We just purchased a 28' Fisher catamaran. It is only 13'1" wide & draws 31/2'. It is a motor sailor with a pilot house, has two staterooms, a 3/4 quarter berth, a kitchen, & a head with sink & shower. It has a single Kubota diesel that uses hydraulic pump connected to two hydraulic motors turning two shafts so it handles like a zero turn lawn mower & we think it will be a perfect live aboard. We offered less then the owner had spent restoring it. Take a look at the layout diagram. You can safely walk around the entire boat. It is suppose to do 7 mile per hour burning 1 gallon per hour. Good luck!
