Hi David, Ref your RC on/off mooring discussion. Have you made any further progress? I'm interested in doing something similar. I have an interest in mechatronics. The boat I'd like to drop its mooring and come to me on the beach is a very weird sailing proa with kite propulsion - I'm working on a mechatronic autopilot for the kite. Driving the boat remotely is likely not to be too problematic. But dropping and picking up a mooring, particularly if there is wind...could be challenging.
I see that your location is listed as Virginia but you mention using your boat to go to Sydney. FWIW, I'm in Brisbane.
