Picture 3 of 7 from Album Searunner 31 Centerboard
Here's the new board with initial 2 coats of cloth and epoxy - before cover coats and painting. Note the lack of split-hose padding (no room in the trunk). We also replaced the plans' eye-bolt pennant attachment with the Belden tube - a PVC-lined hole (lower right) drilled into the board from the upper forward corner - the rope pennant goes through this tube and gets a stopped knot in the adjacent hole. No screws into the wood, no metal anywhere.
John Prentice of Westport, the brains of the operation, stands behind the board.
