Not anymore. That was when I lived in Hawaii and it was a friend's boat. The Santanas have a very good reputation and were well built by Shock in Newport Beach, Ca. Alas property values rose to the point it was no longer economically feasible to build boats in Newport Harbor. Shock still has their headquarters there but they build power boats now inland - I think in Santa Ana and just truck them to the marina when it's time to sell them. John Wayne used to live in Newport Marina - I think he had a big trawler style boat he'd take down to Central America when he had time. That 27'er should get you out to Avalon Harbor and back just fine.

Are you still sailing a Santana? I picked up a Santana 27 a month ago.
