I lived aboard my hunter passage 450 which is very similar to the 420, for three years. I have crossed oceans and have sailed to the BVI from Norfolk. I have been in 65 knot gale force winds and breaking waves over 25 feet in the middle of the night slamming the hull. Yes there is some hull flexion but the Air France Concord also had alot of hull flexing in its fuselage. Be more than glad to answer any other questions....I know the vessel inside and out.

I've been looking high and low for info on the trans-oceanic capability of the Hunters (420 to be specific as that's what I'm looking to purchase).
My wife who has not been much into sailing saw the H420 and said "that is a boat I could travel in". So I want to buy it. We live on the Sea of Cortez.

Are people successfully circumnavigating with these? Seems like you've commented on some 'blue water' experience and your boat hasn't delam'd and fallen apart.

Please shed some light on your experience with the Hunter and its offshore capability and durability. MUCH MUCH APPRECIATED!!!
