Finally moved here. We lease a house in Portland overlooking the bay. Still can't sell the house in KS. Looked at a trawler in Port A last weekend. Fell in love. Selling 2 of 3 sailboats now. Really want the trawler now. What's new with you? Are you getting out to sail yet? We were on your dock with our boat over Labor Day.

Bob -- things got postponed because I bought another Privateer and had to prep it for the trip. I will be leaving this Saturday morning and expect to be in CC by Sunday afternoon. I'm stopping over to see a friend in Round Rock on the way... and to break up the trip a little.

My wife is the Occ Nurse at Memorial and Beevile.

Bob-- sinking is never a good thing... what caused that?. Which hospital are you at? My wife is the Occupational Health Nurse at C Spohn Memorial and Beeville hospitals.
I will be leaving my Privateer with Neil (fishmanTx) up in Beeville next Sunday then going over to Rockport to see his Newport.

we are on H dock, H30 but will be moving her next week for the boat show to who knows where for a couple of weeks. Last boat show she sunk at the dock so heres hoping there is no repete performance.
I work 4-5 times a week, 12 hour nights in a hosptial ICU, so may not get much time if your only here for a week. But give me a call.

Bob- we are moving my wife down the week after Xmas. We'll get in on the 29th. I will probably come back home on the 2nd. After that it depends on how long it takes to find a buyer for our house here before I get to move down. We've found a couple of more homes that interest us so NY eve will be consumed with that. Hope it's a little warm that week. WOW there are some opinionated folks on this forum.
Seems to me that hanging a piece of canvass in moving air to provide motive force shouldn't we so complicated. I just shake my head. Guess that's why there is a BYC, CCYC and the rest of us....
I re read what I worte you before and what I meant to saywas that if you are not born in this area then you are an outsider and treated as such. People here can be so cold and rude I can't believe it. It's taken me 3 years to make this point to my wife.
Maybe we can hook up when I am down the week after Xmas. I have to put your number in my phone so I don't forget.

We are just regular boat people. We do like to socialize but it's not a big thing for us. I said to Chris Colley at the Bay Yacht Club (and others listening) last weekend exactly what you said. I'm not that much of a "club" person because I like to do my thing in my own time. They assured me that they were that kind of group to. The did tell me about the CCYC and all I can say to them is what's the point. I have not time for that kind of thing and I will stop at that...... I have many more thoughts one the subject but...... sigh.
Reason I asked you what I did is because I met so many people at the BYC last weekend (including Bill) I wasn't sure if I had met you and forgot.... or not. We may join the BYC. Jan's boss Cathy & Chris Colley are members and seems like an easy bunch to get along with. We've been out here on the plains in Kansas so long and if you are from here they do not open up to you like Texans do. We are anxious to get there. Hope to meet you sometime.
