Hi Chris, sorry I didn't get back to you - I sold mine a few years ago now and haven't logged in in a long time. I did have mine re-rigged but not a lot of intel to offer, aside from taking the time to give the mast a thorough tidy-up. I employed a rigger to do it, and being a ketch it wasn't cheap but definitely gave me peace of mind. He also reinstated the back stays as running rather than fixed as they were when I bought her, so that freed the mizzen to be used more productively. Chainplates were all good, so we left those alone.
Not sure where you are or how you've been able to go with the whole Covid thing but I hope you're out sailing. I'm looking around again at the moment but will take the time to sail on other people's boats for a while before I take the plunge again. My old boat is still in the marina so I see her now and then. I'll have to drop by and see if I can get a sail on her some time.
    Cheers,
    Adam

Hello Adam - do you still have your South Coast 36? I'm just about to buy one, and will re-rig. She's a sloop rather than ketch (which I think yours is?), however - still do you have any tips regarding re-rigging these boats - I think you had yours redone? The chainplates on mine look like they could do with replacing at the same time as the new rig; have you ever had yours out? Thanks! Chris
