As an Aussie, I should be patriotic and rave about Bundaberg, but to be honest I dont like it. I'm not a rum connoisseur, but I've tasted Bacardi, Captain Morgan, Bundaberg, Myers's Rum and others, and to my taste the best I have had is from the Philippines. Now dont ridicule or criticise, but until you have tasted Tanduay aged rum. It's gentle on the palate and goes down very smoothly. You can buy a 1 litre bottle of 5 year aged rum in the Philippines for about $1.50. If you mix it with Coke or Pepsi, they'll cost you more then the rum.
According to this web site, Tanduay is the second largest rum company in the world, second only to Bacardi
Rum Review: Tanduay 1854 There must be a lot of rum sold in Asia!
It's an interesting web site to do with rum reviews, mixing and other links, etc.
