There is a whole series of YT of people doing just this in the Canaries prior to the Atlantic hop. I struggled to understand how this would work, particularly watching one couple who bought two trays of yogurts, 48 in total for just the two of them. Then it dawned on me. The average ARC Rally yacht is 40-50ft with multiple crew members. What they are doing in the Canaries by just filling several trollies with stuff, is topping up all the nice things they have eaten since leaving Europe and left the rest like mushy peas in the bilges. The main replen was done weeks previously back in Europe were prices are much cheaper.

We do something similar: create a weekly menu that allows many variations. For provisioning we start packing cases based on the menu, with a document showing what is in it. Also, we do a lot of (pressure) canning for shelf stable meals, as well as vacuum packing and freezing. We have two freezers aboard of each 95 liters.

Here is our latest menu:
Jedi weekly menu

Monday

Breakfast
- yogurt with fruits and granola
- coffee

Lunch
- sandwich with cheese, sliced meats, jam, peanut butter
- tea

Dinner: Mexican
- Fajitas
- Taco’s
- Chili con carne
- Muchos nachos

Tuesday

Breakfast
- toast or bagel with cream cheese, Sriracha sauce
- coffee

Lunch
- Pea or noodle soup
- tea

Dinner: weekly special
- Goulash
- Pork chop
- Caramelized onions beef casserole
- Sausage
- Meat loaf

Wednesday

Breakfast
- oatmeal
- coffee

Lunch
- Hotdog, sardines, tuna salade.

Dinner: Asian
- nasi goreng
- Thai red curry
- Babi ketjap
- Chicken curry

Thursday

Breakfast
- yogurt with fruits and granola
- coffee

Lunch:
- soup & sandwich
- tea

Dinner: Leftovers
- real leftovers
- Tuna or salmon salad
- Hot dogs + Sauerkraut

Friday

Breakfast
- toast or bagel with cream cheese, Sriracha sauce
- coffee

Lunch
- Huzarensalade
- Zalm tuna salade
- Ommelette

Dinner: Italian
- Chicken cacciatore
- Parpadelle bolognese
- Pasta puttanesca
- Pasta vongole

Saturday

Breakfast
- pancakes
- coffee

Lunch
- leftovers

Dinner: Soup and sandwich
- pasulj
- tomato soup with grilled sandwich
- Dutch snert with roll

Sunday

Breakfast
- scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, toast/rolls, baked beans
- coffee

Lunch
- snack

Dinner: Grill
- hamburger
- chicken roll
- steak dinner
- Sausage
