Look on craigslist in the spring. Or drive around and look at the bulletin boards at the yacht clubs.

But also, if you are going to stay in a marina, often the winter slip fee includes de-icing. My marina puts one in for each double slip section. I have only kept a boat in the water one RI winter. We weren't living aboard, so it was a pain. We had a lot of snow that winter, and I was always going down there and shoveling.

Gus, Constitution marina has a great LA community. Nice shoreside facilities too.

We have a way to deal with the snow/ice here. 9 F below (real not wind chill). At that temperature, the pink stuff turns hard. I just show up after a storm & pop the snow off the tarp. Some auslander asked why we just don't leave it in. Muskegon is on a frozen lake with the channel to Lake Michigan frozen including the outer harbor. We won't see open water until March or April. Last snow in 2012 was in May.
