Potter help

Hello I am new to this sight .I Have a west wight potter 15,and as I was sailing I heard a cracking sound,well I just got home and upon inspection under the cushions on both sides of the mast the fiberglass cracked. Can anyone offer advice. She sailed fine I stayed out for 4hours without issue.

Hard to tell without seeing it but one possibility that comes to mind is that your rigging was too slack to actually support the mast. The side loads were then transferred lower part of the mast, cracking the surrounding fiberglass.

Aloha Kiteboard,
Can you take a photo of the stressed area and post it here? On our club Potter 19 we have a compression post just forward of the daggerboard trunk and it steps on the cabin sole. If your mast is rigged a bit different I can offer some suggestions as to how to fix it.
