Long time reader, just joined.

Hi Everyone,

Long time reader of this board but never joined until today.

Been sailing for 18 years. First boat was a Bayfield 32c we kept in Lake Ontario while living in Toronto. We went boat-less for five years, (lots of charters down south), then just this season purchased a new to us 1998 Hunter 410 that we are doing a minor refit on to get ready for next years cruising season.

I can honestly say I read through all the monohull fleet forums from the beginning to the end before we bought our boat. (It took a week, reading an hour or two a day, but was both education and entertaining to say the least.)

Home is now on beautiful Vancouver Island. I thought after reading so much here it was time to start participating as well. Thanks for this forum and allowing me to join.
