Cool Hi All

Joined the forum to ask a question in the sail boat section but thought it'd be rude not to say 'hi' here first!

I currently own a 57ft classic Italian motor yacht, based in Southern Spain. I've been using her for mainly live aboard use as she is fitted with two Detroit V12 Diesels and you all know how much fuel costs in Europe!

So, i've decided to go back to 'the dark side', as some of my boating friends call it and look for something a bit more involving and cheaper to run.

I'm sure the forum will come in very handy in the next few months, i'm sure it's already well used by 'motor people' converting to sail.

Hey Simon, welcome aboard.
So what will you do with your existing boat?

Not yet, had a few interested enquiries but early days yet. The boat market here in Europe is very tough at the moment but as I was lucky enough to get her for a good price, I can afford to sell her well under her insurance value so I hope I can make the transition to sail early in 2011.

Many thanks to all for the welcome, I've already found this forum an invaluable resource and learn something new from here everyday!
