Hello from Vancouver! - Looking to get out any way possible

Hello!
My name is Kevin, and im looking to get sailing any way possible! I am a 29 y.o. scientist who grew up sailing in San Diego and recently moved to Vancouver. My most recent experience is on Hobie 16s (have an old 70s Hobie on a beach bar in SD), but grew up helping my dad on a little 25 ft sloop. Never had any official training, but recently passed the Sail Canada Basic Cruising standard and looking to get out on the water any way possible.

Im happy to help scrub the boat (im a marine biologist, SCUBA certified and have the gear), as well as climb the mast, literally anything needed in payment for getting out.

If you're looking for someone to help clean the boat and bring a 6-pack along, tell you useless biology facts, or just need someone else to go out with, feel free to message me!

Hi Kevin! if you ever happen to visit Kelowna, I have a 25 footer on the mooring here on Lake Okanagan. You can take her sailing even for a week if you like.

Great attitude, like hk I have a sailboat (Catalina 270) moored on Kootenay Lake each summer. It is coming out this next Wednesday and stored inside my hanger at the Creston airport for the winter. But it will get wet again in the spring of 2021. If you are out that way drop me a PM. Plus if you happen to find your way to Bonaire in the winter months I would be very happy to take you out on our Moody down there. Being a SCUBA dude my guess is Bonaire is on your list somewhere. We also have a seaside house with the reef maybe 25M from our shoreline. You can actually sit on the edge of my deck and look down into the water and see the Parrot Fish feeding. We've often said we should hire a marine biologist to accompany us. Its just so hard telling those darn starfish apart

Season's done but maybe next year. Be prepared to give detail lectures on undersea flora though

If ya seen one, you've seen em all. Bacteria and viruses are the real puppet masters of the sea!
