Hello from the Puget Sound
Been a long time since I've been on a sailboat. We have had a couple power boats. Have started looking about with the intention of getting a sail boat to explore puget sound and islands to gain experience, then possibly coastal excursions working our way up to full on cruising the world, with my wife and three kids. We are definitely of the adventuresome type and ready to get our feet wet. Came to CF to research boats, and hear some stories to get a better idea of this is really what we want to do.... so far I think so! Thanks for being a great resource CF.

Welcome! You have picked a good area to start in, despite a very short nice weather window (for some). Lots of boats, nice people for the most part, great places to explore. Have fun.

PNW has a reputation for unreliable winds. That's why there are relatively more power boats there.
