Hello from the Obelisk

Hey to everyone,
I'm new to these boards but have been sailing all my life. Right now I live in Jackson Hole, WY--just a temporary getaway from the Lower Chesapeake where I'm from originally.

Joining this and some other boards is just one of the steps I have taken in the beginnign stages of planning my CIRCUMNAVIGATION! In the next few weeks and months I will have many questions and probably some frustrated comments concerning the planning and loistics of this journey and I hope this forum will bring me some support.

Right now, I have the most experience out of our 4-man crew, but two others are good sailors and the fourth has a long way to go. We'll be embarking on a Skye 51' (if all goes according to plan and my loan is approved) that will be purchased from my dad. I grew up sailing on this boat and know it well--he's just at the age where it's too much for him to handle. Here's my baby, the Obelisk:
