Hello Johnny I'm from Essex UK but keep my boat in Spain. Are you planning to keep the boat in Spain or take it home.
Or maybe like me it's going nowhere at present.

Re: Hello from Northern England
Hi David
With the current situation, I did not complete on the purchase, when it came time to pay the closing balance I just could not see an end to the travel restrictions so cancelled the deal. Cost me a few quid but I could not justify over £100k and ongoing costs sat in Spain with no opportunity to use.
I think if timing had been different and I had closed the deal earlier I would have left the boat in Spain for now, but my plan was to get it to Greece. I would not have brought it to UK, not really enough opportunity to use it specially Up North!
All the best Johnny

Yes, but think of the smell drifting across Preston Dock as the black puddings are frying in the pan
I am from Southport btw.

HaHa
Cheers Pete
That conjures up images of strangely dressed people on narrow boats.
I'm from the other side of the hills, ever sailed out of Grimsby, it is not the Med!

Re: Hello from Northern England
Hello from across the Pond!
My UK sailing grounds were primarily Hamble, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, and the Solent... so close but far!
I've never sailed in Spain. Just Brittany coast and the Channel Isles. Something to add to the list.
So go on, Johnny, make us drool. What was the boat going to be? Got any pics? <Sigh>

Next time boat shopping avoid the Med and look in Northern Europe
Med boats are burnt and neglected
Boats in places like Germany , Netherlands , Denmark
Are high spec and live a pampered life of fresh water and undercover storage

Thanks Slug
Good advice I will keep that in mind, I just have to balance it with actually wanting the boat in the Med and getting it there
