Hello from Munich/Germany

Hi there, my name is Cornelius, I am 55 years old, actively sailing since 6 years. Our boat is a Bavaria 38, name ACASADUE, actually lying in Porto Heli, Greece.

In the last season we cruised the Med, Dodecanese and Aegean Sea. For 2013 we - this is my wife Birgit and my little son Fabian, 7 years old - intend to go west to the Canaries, finally joining the ARC 2013 heading for Carribean. After that - I don't have concrete plans. Maybe back to Europe, maybe continuing, it's depending how the things in my job and the school of my son are developing.

If anybody crosses my way West next year, mainly with children in the age of mine, I would be pleased to meet you personally!

John, as I am born and raised in Munich, so the Oktoberfest means nothing special for me. To be honest, I am even a denier of that event, too many people. My bigger children (18+21) are quite crazy about the event and spend a lot of money each year ...

Welcome to CF Cornelius; I leave München for the Caribbean in 2 weeks and can't wait to get back aboard my boat. I don't know how long I'll be sailing around the Caribbean this time or where I'll be going, but hopefully we will cross wakes sometime.

I know what you mean about being in an area that is famous for an event. I've never been to the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival and very seldom go to the beaches here in Hawaii.
I did enjoy my visits to Munich in the 70s.

John, so next time you are in Munich, I make an exception and we go to Oktoberfest, but don't come in october, it's taking place in september! Anyway, it seems more likely we meet in other places of that world.
