Greetings from Beaufort, NC!

I am sure many of you have passed through Beaufort NC (" Bow ford") on your way to or home from the Bahamas or other wonderful places! It is October and many cruisers are once again making the migration Southward..wherever the wind, waters and stars steer them....how cool is that?!

I have had a 35' Caliber sv/Harmony and have a passion to go cruising soon...looking for that 'sailing soulmate'.

Feel free as you pass through Beaufort to say Hi- if you need a ride to get provisions or want to swap sailing stories at the Back Street Pub, just give a hollar-

Hi Jan,

My husband and I are heading for Beaufort from CT in early November and we plan to stay in town through the holidays before continuing south. We're hoping not to see snow this winter; as a Beaufort resident, do you think we'll succeed? If you have any recommendations regarding anchorages, things to do, good bookstores, and restaurants, we'd so appreciate it!
