Anyone having trouble viewing threads when you click on the email link? Mine is now going to the main page, not the thread. Suggestions?

i'm going to give this a bump, because others out there know lots more than me.

I'm suspecting that you are using a phone to connect, and that there's something weird about the apps protocols, because if you use a laptop, it all works okay.

Sorry not to be able to help...except for the bump, maybe someone else can help.

I never click the links..
If I see there's stuff for me on CF in my e-mail box.. I just delete it then log in and read whats there.. unless of course the member has chosen to use the CF e-mail option to contact me directly..

I've had a similar experience beginning about 2 weeks ago. Same computer, same provider but my launching from the daily CF emails now takes me to the home page. Not sure of how to fix?

My phone shows two links. All the top links go to the same home page, the links lower down on the page, go to the site/message I wanted to see. It used to be both links went to the right site. Not sure why it changed. No worries, I figured it out.

You're right Creatingtropics; that gets me to where I want to go. Well it wasn't specifically a 'boating' problem but you've provided the first help that I've reached out for on CF. Thanks.

Just a clarification here... Does it go to the main page and load completely or does it stall half way through loading the page? If the latter then I have had the same problem from time to time, increasing in frequency now to the point where it has become annoying. I have gone back to version 1 which has improved thing immensely.

I use my tablet now to read cruisersforum. Too many ads on the laptop version which really slows down page loading.

Did you try clearing your browser cache? Also, you might want to clear cookies and other history and start again clean. pete

I had a situation the other night where I was typing in replies and the forum was missing many keystrokes, resulting in my spelling checker flagging almost every word.

It's not doing that any more but sometimes pages don't load completely down to the last post.

That's not the forum. That's your browser. The forum doesn't know anything about what you are entering into the editor.
