Some of the growth over the past weeks comes from the last
parts of
winter in the northern hemisphere. Northern sailors are really getting the urge to get back out after a hard
winter both in the US and
Europe. The northern spring boost is usually the biggest spurt we get and has been like that since the first days at CF. The southern sailors don't have the huge numbers but the overall growth comes from more international members more than it used to.
As ideas for
boat projects grow we also see a little bit of upward growth in registrations too. We have a huge following that never registers and a
boat project can get even the shy people to register for a little bit of
advice.
Members welcoming new members in the Meets and Greets has been the biggest contributor to new members registering. If anyone has a spare minute to welcome someone new it does make a difference. It isn't something you see on most other sailing web sites. Members helping members is the
wind and
fuel we need. Its done one post at a time.
