Re: The Mallorca Squad

And just before you think of taking advantage of the weak kiwi dollar and moving house......

You can not buy decent bacon in New Zealand....

Take it from me... I've been researching the subject for a while now.... fush heads and fush frames yes... decent bacon..no.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

Can you make bacon from sheep? Is it then mutton jerky? Is Boatman on a mission to get to a reliable supply of English bacon? I think Canada has the corner on the good stuff.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

English bacon is back bacon but also has some of the belly fat on the end of it, so ... Let me see, would that be Canadian bacon + streaky American bacon = English bacon? No, no. That can't be right.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

Weavis, I'd call your second picture (of the back bacon, not the NZ version) is what we'd call English bacon. Often it would be with a longer 'tail' though. Tasty it is, too!
